"Recuiting Station" Weekend, February 18th, 2012

The US Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA is pleased to announce their first "Recruiting Station" weekend for reenactment units and reenactors looking for new untis to join. The event will be held Saturday, February 18th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be units from 17th century through Vietnam represented. The USAHEC is right on the I-81 corridor with 45,000 cars a day passing our facility so this is a great place for units to look for new members. Our reenactments regularly attract 10,000 plus visitors and living history enthusiasts. If you are a unit leader and would like to register your unit for a space, go to Link and click on the reenactor registration button. Put "Recruiting Station Event" in the Other Information box. There is no cost for this event and each unit gets a 6 foot table and chairs. There will be a stage area for presentations and we will have a couple surprises up our sleeves as well

Indoors or outdoors, as I have been to this really cool site, and in February, it can be down right chilly there! ?? :grin: Even if you aren't recruiting, it's a good place to visit!!

Sorry for the delay in answering. Computer issues. The event is inside in our 7000 sq. foot conference center. This is more like a shopping mall for people looking to join a unit. We already are nearly full for tables with 27 groups booked. Only a few spaces left but should be a great event just to come out annd see all the different impressions. Our earliest is a 17th century military unit. Hope to see you there!
