There are no restrictions. Everyone welcome for the duration. Come in your shorts and flip flops. Camping is allowed just aren’t any utilities other than limited electric. No running water. Out houses are on site. The site is primitive but has a great firing line. Period clothing and camping are not required. There’s a great feed for everyone Saturday evening.

I have a few muzzleloading rifles I bought and have never fired, and also a flintlock pistol I have never fired. It may be worth my time to come up so someone can show me the ropes and teach me how to properly load and fire these, as well as then subsequently clean them...

Would be a great time to show up and lots of helpful folks on site. I won't be there until the last day due to my granddaughter graduating from high school on the Friday and then a party for her on the Saturday. Then next year (2024) I have to do that family stuff again for her brother. I plan to shoot smoothbore (a TC .56 Cal Renegade) and at least revolver and possibly pistol if time allows. Tambi Dudley, a representative of Schutzen, based in the DFW area will be at the shoot. She competes along with the rest of us. Travelers Antiques and Trading may also be there but I have not heard for sure yet about that.

On April 30 there will be the normal last Sunday of the month shoot. Open to anyone who shows up. There are practice targets available to those who don't want to spend the $2 bucks for a target and enter a match that is for bragging rights and aggregate total as a club member for the year.

Is this only for true muzzleloaders ?
Or are black powder cartridge guns also permitted ?

Cap-and-ball percussion revolvers are permitted, right ?

Traditional type muzzleloaders along with cap and ball revolvers. There’s a revolver match and handgun match as well as the numerous other matches such as bench, flintlock, hunters, smooth bore, musket, etc. Cartridge black powder guns not allowed.
