Reduced I had thought this was an antique rifle, but upon close examination, I believe it is a VERY vintage custom flintlock using an antique lock. It could date to the early 20th century, but who knows. It has a 42" barrel of .36 caliber with 1:66ish twist. Finish is grey patina. Bore is mirror bright and had been greased. Small ding at muzzle end away from bore. Lock is unmarked with minimal engraving. Stock is plain Maple with a hexagonal profile forward. LOP is 13.5 ". There are some minor slivers missing along barrel and one more modern ding near tang. A raised grain surface "crack" is present at wrist, but of no real concern. Brass fitted. An interesting and puzzling rifle ready to shoot. $575 + Shipping.
