Thought it was worth mentioning that I shot a 50 shot session with my .50cal TC Flintlock yesterday using a new 3/4" x 7/8" Tom Fuller black english flint and never touched it other than the couple times I cleaned the whole lock assembly with an alcohol rag.
And shot my .58cal TC Flintlock 50 times this morning, also starting with a new TF/BEF and never had to touch it either...just love shooting these things !!

The weather must be nice where you live to be out shooting. It's snowing here in PA.... I hate winter.
February is normally in the 30-40s here...but we've had a freak record warm spell the past few days and on through tomorrow...60's and 70's...like spring.

Went to the range yesterday and again today, had the whole place to myself both times...life is good!

Forecast is for -1 and 30 to 40 mph wind tomorrow and im shooting the 3rd week of a league :surrender:

Weatherman says we are getting a cold front in sometime tonight and to expect cooler temperature next week to be in the mid to upper 70's with no rain in site. Sure is nice to have spring weather all through the winter.
Fox :hatsoff:

Its 20 below and winds gusting to 40 MPH. There expecting wind chills about 35 to 50 below here tonight. So no shooting for awhile. So will lay back and :snore: . :)

Now that's cold! I grew up in the Adirondacks of upstate NY but have lived in southern states since my military time back in the 60's, and remember below zero days very well working on the farm...but I don't ever want to live anywhere that I actually have to worry about staying alive due to cold weather
