I'm going to start trying my hand at relief carving. Is there some where I can get patterns or template so I can carbon copy onto stock. Or maybe someone here could help with making a to scale drawing for me
Something like this pic.

Crow, I make my own templates with plain old graph paper. Draw a centerline to work from, rough sketch what you think you want, and when you're happy with your basic design you can easily tweak it to 'symetrical', if that's what you want, just by counting lines off your center or up and down to adjust. I do this to compensate for my abysmal drawing. When you have your design tape off the back of it with clear packing tape to reinforce it and cut it out with an Xacto. Viola, you have a template that you can tape to your stock and trace. It may be a cheat of sorts but it helps out if you're 'drawing challenged like me. I'm tough on erasers by the way. (chuckle).
