Got it! Thanks @Bad Karma
If it were me I would make it two piece, dovetail the rod portion into the head and low temp silver solder it in place. Simple lathe and mill operations !How would you add the tee on the end of the cylinder pin to a 7mm drill rod? Only method I can think of is find someone who's really good at TIG welding - after you find a machinist to make the end piece, and machine the flat section on the drill rod.

This is where the term "end shake" is properly applied (bushing to frame fit) which although affecting barrel cylinder gap is actually completely separate with a separate tolerance .View attachment 175831View attachment 175832View attachment 175833
Theres no way to use a full length colt style bushing but if the op were to turn a recess in the front of the cylinder and then turn an interference fit bushing he could pull it off. He’d also have to mill a bit of the frame beneath the barrel extension.
Easy to fit a flat piece and braze it on (or thread it & use Loctite) the end (turn down the end smaller - drill a mating hole in the flat piece) then file to shape - sounds like you have files - "elbow grease" I don't see the problem. How would you add the tee on the end of the cylinder pin to a 7mm drill rod? Call dixie ask for JamieIf I call Dixie they will probably say they don't know if it will fit. If it was too big in diameter I could turn it down (I think having a real smooth finish would be important). With my luck it would turn out to be too small.
