Do repro cylinders fit/function in an original Remington Navy? I was told the repro dimensions are diferent than the originals.
Thanks,
Jerry

I haven't found cylenders that will fit different manufactured new pistols so I dought that any will fit the old. When the copies were started they used oridginal frames to make the molds and didn't allow for 5% shrinkage so most of the older repros are a bit smaller. I have heard that the newer ones are full size but have not been able to prove it. I may have a few spare cylenders in 44 but none in 36. I have made a few over to cartridge.

Most of the Remington repros are slightly under sized all over. They do not fit my hand, but an original feels great. Navy Arms, or Pedersoli used to make a full sized model. It was fitted and tuned for competition. I don't know if it is still available, and they did cost a lot more.
