Howdy fellas,
I have a bit of a problem. I have a broken hand spring on my Remington Army. I took it all apart down to the Hammer/hand assembly. How do you get that assembly out of the frame? These are different animals from a Colt, fer sure. :hmm:
Thanks for any help,
Don

You drop the hammer down till you see the end of the hand. It is attached to the hammer with a small screw, take that out and it sides the rest of the way out.

Yes, it comes out the bottom of the frame but some times needs a little jiggling or holding your tongue just right. Use the right size screwdriver, that little screw gets buggered up easy.

Thanks guys. I will try again when the new part gets here. It's on its way from VTI.
 :hatsoff:

I got the extra springs and small parts yesterday and fixed my Remington last night. The parts just dropped in. The good advice on how to get the hammer out worked real good as well. The tongue sticking out just a tad helped get that hammer out and the hand unscrewed in short order.
Thanks guys,
Cooner

BTW, the fella at VTI was a real nice guy and was a good hand as well.

The tongue sticking out is a trade secret. We don't speak of it in public. You are sentenced to one dry ball for the transgression. Don't let it happen again; a second offense involves forgetting to put the nipples back in before loading the powder.
