I have renderd it and pured it in a metal container, how long will it stay good? Should i put it in the freezer?

Mathias...the freezer is a good spot...did you clean the rendered fat afterwords- this is to remove any blood or salt in the rendered fat.

here's what works for me.

small 4 quart pan 2 inches of water-add rendered fat slowly heat both and stir- do not bring to boil repeat do not bring to boil! stir mix 5 to 10 minutes after the fat has melted ..shut off heat. cool either outside or in fridge... water and fat will separate when cool--when cold drain off water and store in freezer. This will ensure the rendered fat is clean .You can repeat this as many times as you think you will need to clean your fat.I did mine twice and worked just fine.

Clean rendered fat will last a long time if you don't share or use it all up!
