This weekend I'm going with Mt. Shasta Longrifles to attend a rendezvous for three days with Mike my buddy from work. Can't wait!
I got my gun cleaned up! It's got a fixed tang and I put in screw inserts in the wood to affix the trigger guard and tang screw, used 8/32 brass screws. Now I don't have to worry about boogering up the wood when I remove the barrel to clean. Best part was I didn't mess up putting inserts in! Now all mounting of furniture has brass screws/inserts!
Friday we will shoot rifles, Saturday shoot pistols and hawk/knife and Sunday is award night.
Can't wait! Should be fun.
No. California outside of Mccloud CA in Elk Flat, TTrout creek has 4 feet of snow, so it was moved to flatter ground.
Tomorrow I'm going to Mike's house and make some brass ramrods for the gun and cleaning rod, maybe have time to make handles for my Russel Green river knife blank I purchased at last rendezvous.
I will bring my camera and hopefully take more pictures for you all.
