I have a really pretty Renegade stock with a poured Pewter for-end cap. I was wondering if you guys ever heard of anybody putting a crescent/hawken style butt plate on a Renegade stock?? I was looking on Track's website and saw a few nickel poured butt plates?? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I put one from an old Kentucky on one of my Renegades and when I ordered a precarve from Pecatonica for another build I also ordered a Bridger-style steel buttplate for it. I'll warn ya, if you shoot stout loads you'll appreciate a little more width or a good lace-on recoil pad.

No reason why you couldn't fit one to your stock. I haven't personally done it, but I've built a couple of kits where the butt plate needed final fitting. It will be a personal preference as to whether or not you like shooting with it. I shoot a .54 GPR and had a .54 cva mountain rifle before, both with metal butt plates. No problems shooting 110 gr. fffg. I personally like the appearance of the crescent shaped butt plates. I say go for it!

Mine has a blackened crescent on it. Looks sweet. Only thing is I think the length of pull gets shortened too much doing it with a factory TC stock. Wish mine had about another 1"-1.5" on the LOP to fit me better...
