A replica built by Trinidad State Junior College students of the last rifle used by American frontiersman Kit Carson will be on display at the state Capitol for the next 30 days.
Students from the college's Brownells-Trinidad American Firearms Technology Institute have crafted a handmade Hawken Rifle, which is said to be one of the last rifles Carson owned.
