Thanks to everyone that responded to my questions and to the forum in General, I learned a great deal from both. MarMot thanks for suggesting using consumer packaging cardboard (great idea). Here are the results:
Lyman Plains 50 Cal Pistol, 25 grains of 3f, .490 ball, .015 patch lubed with BoreButter, homemade (who knows how thick?) over powder card. Target at 10 yards.
Supported Bench
Off Hand
My first shot from each position was off. Still getting use to the muzzle blast and thinking about the recoil instead of the shot. I know 10 yards isn't much ... but for plinking it's just right. Had a blast blowing up clay pigeons at 10 yards.
