I found a box of my father's things tucked away in a cupboard. As well as a number of relic boxlocks, four powder flasks and a couple of other pistols there was this one by Cook of Bath. It caught my eye because of the mounts. I had forgotten about it but now I remember seeing it as a boy. I would not normally present an item in such a condition but I felt it was justified because of the quality. It is shown as found without even a wipe of oil which I shall see to straight away. I do not believe the mounts are silver, because they would be black after all those years hidden away.
