I saw pyrodex pellets used in a Ruger Old Army. The 30 grain pellets worked fine.

I've used them in the Colt type reproductions. They worked fine, and are alot quicker loading. Pahaska

Never used 'em, but they have merit for a quick load, I carry a spare loaded cylinder for my '58 Rem. when hunting. Hey- that thing is powerful!

:hmm: I have a Ruger Old Army stainless and have used the pellets quite a bit, I find them much faster and easier to load :cursing: but the ignition is not consistant :hmm: It may be that I'm not using a filler :rotf: Duh, If I use a filler so much for faster, right. I plan on testing more when the weather improves :winking:

In a nutshell, they are great for faster loading at events; they give varied velocity per shot but still give accuracy.
