Well, a Rice barrel!

Ordered a 38", C profile, .54, Gunmaker's special just about two weeks ago. It was sitting on my front porch when I got home from work today.

I just happened to call in my order the day before they started cutting 38 inchers, but that is still some great customer service!

Just have to order a Chamber's Early Ketland lock and find a suitable chunk of wood and I'll be on my way.

Awesome!

I hear nothing but good things about Rice barrels. That is why I ordered my custom rifle with one!

I also ordered the Chambers' Early Ketland lock for my flinter as I have only heard great things about Chambers locks' as well.

Now all I have to do is be patient for the next 15 months or so!

when i ordered my 42" D weight golden age .54 from rice just before he and barbie chambers joined forces he told me bout 8 weeks....i got it in 7 weeks, the D weight is a heavy duty barrel that not alot of people order he said....so he had to more or less custom make it in between orders runs like yers, now that's takeing care of yer customers :v ...............bob

Ive had such GREAT dealings with Barbi and Jim Chambers I cant beging to say enough good about their business. Ive ordered 2 Rice 44" 54cal barrels 2 locks and other things and 100% pleased. :hatsoff:

Your right they are great people to work with and a great product too. I have a Rice .54 in a "C" and 44 inches in my early Lancaster and just started working on a .62 round bottom rifled in a "D" and 42 inches long. That will have a Chambers Early Germanic Lock. Can't wait to finish it.

Love my 42 inch 1/70 Rice Barrel.

Check your Ketland lock jaw screw, mine seems to be bent and wobbles when it closes the jaw :-(
