Just starting the process of researching for a 62 pistol with rifling. Assume such a creature exists but have no idea who might carry one and just how accurate they are. The reason for the 62 is that I mostly shoot a 62 smoothie and prefer to use the same size balls.

If your long guns are smooth of bore, why the
need for a close range pistol to be rifled?? I made a Miquelet flintlock with an eight inch bbl
smooth bore and it shoot well to 30 yrds.Maybe
even further but haven't tried...Packs a wallup
at thirty tho..

I shoot at two clubs in the area and most all the targets are paper. I do well up to 75 yds with the long smooth bore barrel on my rifle but with a pistol I need the rifling to get beyond 25 yds and be competative. Hope this answers your question.

Invest in a quality piece with a rifled barrel, say a .40 to .50 range, and just buy the right sized balls. You'll have many more to choose from, and will find a better product that will be competitive.

I checked Muzzle loader building supply and they had smooth bore versions. One add didn't specify smooth bore of otherwise.
