Howdy EMM. Whats the scoop on crossing into Canada with Black Powder or Black Powder firearms?

Where we cross they know us and what we are doing. Canada has no restrictions on flintlocks. Everything else is subject to registration. We stop on the US side and get paperwork describing our flintlocks and serial numbers if they have them. Then when we get to the border we declare them as flintlocks and state that we are going to the brockway muzzzleloader shoot. Most of the time they wave us through. Somtimes they check our guns we usually get some nice compliments on them. Where we cross in Washington county Maine it is very remote we might be the most traffic they had all week. Plus the guys i go with have been going for years the border guards pretty much know them by name. The club thats holds the shoot is called the ramrodders I hope this helps.
