I have an Armi Sport 1858 2-band Enfield. I have been shooting .577 swaged bullets (see picture) below) from Dixie Gun Works out of them with good results using an overshot card over 60 grains of FFG and a little lube in the base.

I'd like to coat the bullets with Rooster Jacket.

How is best way way to apply Rooster Jacket to these bullets?

Thanks.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION OF ROOSTER JACKET:

May be applied quickly and economically by dipping, tumbling, or flood-coating. For Reloader, the best way may be to put your bullets into a funnel which is standing in the neck of an empty bottle or jug. Pour the lube over the bullets, then dump them onto 1/4" hardware cloth which has been stapled to wood frames. Pour the excess lube back into its original container, and rinse the bottle and funnel in water immediately. Let a fan blow through the frames of bullets overnight. ROOSTER JACKET must be completely air-dried prior to use in order to get the full benefit of its lubricity. (The thickness of the dried film of lube on the bullets may be reduced by diluting the concentrate with distilled water. One longtime customer cautions against diluting it more than 30%).

Thanks Claude. I do have a bottle of Rooster Jacket and am familiar with the instructions.

I just want to know if anyone here on the Forum has their own "tricks" for applying the stuff.

But thanks again.
