Does anyone know who it was selling old fashioned root beer at the spring nationals in Friendship ? I really want to get more. Thanks.

you need to drive up to Lancaster Co. PA. Lots of the Amish and Mennonites sell it at their produce stands.

Amish root beer stinks Go to Berks County and look around for some old fashioned brewed Birch Beer. When I was a kid we got it in kegs just like lager beer. Or order some Hires root beer extract and make up some of the real stuff complete with alcohol.

Ya know alot of that stuff sold as olde fashioned homemade and even touted as "got the recipe from grandpa" is actually just 1919 from a keg!

An just like Beer-beer, the stuff tastes different outa the keg, (true draft) than it does bottled or canned.

The seller at Big Island made a mistake a couple years back,,he was out front hawkin his brew to the crowd,,I happend to be at the side and held the side canvis open for the guy in a Miller Beer uniform rolled two kegs in on a two wheel cart,, :rotf: .
I got a free mug fer keepin my mouth shut,

Ya may want to google it and think about brewing your own, which ain't hard once you get the equipment. At some point I want to try Root beer and Sarsaparilla myself.
