Sounds like the RWS 1075 PLUS (magnum) caps. Way, way more power than is needed for BP. Much more fragmentation and sparks too.
Yup, that’s why is a good idea to have a stash of each and use them based on the particular application. Pyrodex surely don’t complain that they are too hot!!!

I have cap punch and use Prime-All, I had several hundred empty I punched out a year ago. Took me about an hour to mix and fill 60 caps, I figure by the time I drove 60 miles to and from the muzzleloader supply and paid $16.99 for a tin I came out ok (just saying)

Vista Outdoors who owned CCI and Remington sold to a European company with Rumors that it is now controlled
by BR and that ESG rules are being applied. Another theory
is that the Europeans are a cover for the Deep State controlling
Ammo (CIA) in America. Whatever the truth, Remington Caps
will lose market share to RWS in time. RWS plus is a reliable
igniter of substitutes including the high power powders
(T 7 etc). If your hammer is weak and your nipple fit loose do not use the Plus. It will shatter the cap. Always wear glasses.
There is no interest by the Governments of the World in
preserving muzzle-loading because the guns are largely unregistered and exist in a no-mans land of loose regulation.
They do not want you to have any protection from Evil.
Because, just maybe, they will turn out to be the EVIL.
