THANKS FOR LETTING ME JOIN IN THE FUN HERE! :v

Live in Plano, Texas. My only muzzle loader at the moment is a Morse replica in .58" that I got in the 1970's that I need to liberate from my son. Going to order one of my grail guns, the Lyman Great Plains Rifle, tomorrow so I don't have to share with him.

Going to join the local Dallas club for some friendly competition and fun times. Probably going to be a pest in the The Gun Builder's Bench forum with some kit work.

Welcome! Guessing your Dallas club must be pretty good-sized. You'll like the Great Plains Rifle. Sometimes the barrels need a bit of break-in. Ross Seyfried recommended 100 strokes with a patch of purple 3M scrub pad; others just shoot the barrels in.
I remember seeing the Morse rifles in the back of the Gun Digests. Interesting design.

Welcome, from Northern Oklahoma. You will love the GPR. My .50-cal. is finally broken in after about 120 PRBs through it. It shoots extremely well. Tore a few patches at first, but barely affected the accuracy. It shoots way better than I am as a black-powder marksman.

Howdy! Looks we are neighbors, I also preside in Plano. I have not started to build my first flintlock. Think I am going to start slowly and get one of those Jim Kibler colonial long rifle kits just to see how it all goes together then see where that leads. Was also thinking of checking out that Dallas muzzleloaders club. Thought I was the only one in North Texas not building an AR-15
