Sorry to say but i didn,t make this knife,i,m not that talented,LOL.It was made by J.Neilson, master bladesmith from Wyalusing,Pa.The blade is forged from high carbon chainsaw chain and 1084 powder done in a canister weld with forge-marked flats. The guard is fullered,"jail-bar wrought iron. The handle is stabilized Deer bone with black spacer and rawhide handle wrap. His website is www.mountainhollow.net.The sheath is a rawhide period sheath with deer hair and dew claws,horse-hair,trade beads and his signature coyote claw on back. The sheath was made by John Cohea from Mississippi. They work together on certain projects and they do beautiful work.A matter of fact i have 5 other knifes from J.Neilson.He is quite a master craftsman.Check out his site.Tell him John from Ashley recommended him,LOL.

Wait a Minute! you mean to tell me there is someone in My Town that makes that and I didn't even Know about it!?! I mean seriously this place is small enough you'd think I'dve known about that sort of thing!!

Ya gotta get out in the local woods more Gus,LOL.Go past Wyalusing junior/senior high school.Cross bridge and start going up the hill till you get almost to the top.Take road to left called Woods road.As soon as you turn go about 1/4 mile to first road(dirt)on right called Scouton road.Go all the way to the end of dirt road and J,s house is on left and the barn there is his workshop. On the right side of road is welles mtn club which i belong to.Hope you went to his sit,www.mountainhollow.net.Take a look at all the diff.knives he makes.Little expensive but you get a very beautiful and functional knife that you will be proud to use and show.J is a great artist and craftsman. You won,t be sorry, guaranteed. :shocked2:

oh wow.
I've been over that road so many times I don't care to count! used to live on Wilmot Rd. (just down from Wyalusing/New Albany Rd. - keep going straight, you'll see it) and had a babysitter that lived on the other end of Woods Rd. (down near the church) never even took Scouten though! Just remember the dog always running into the road right before gooseneck! :haha: :haha:

we moved over to Camptown just last year so if your ever in the area be sure to hit me up. Last house "in town" we have a sign in our yard to prove it!
And I looked at the site, and yes they are quite pricey, but look worth it! I was thinking about a birthday present for my wife (those butchers knives) and could save on shipping! :haha: :haha:
