I do see more "codgers" toting flintlocks than caplocks but they're also smarter than the "cap kids".
I'd say most of the old "codgers" were "cap kids" at one time, that's how most of us got started.
I identify more with this. I am more of a flint guy, but I enjoy most traditional types.

Funny! As far as muzzle loaders (and Breech loaders) I like them all as long as an attempt is made to somewhat emulate something in history. To each his own whether itās fast, slow, conical with synthetics pushing the load or whatever. I do very much enjoy the rock locks though!!!

Based on their perceived ages, I might agree, based on the way they are dressed and the portrayed attitudes, I too think they have the labels reversed.
I'd shoot flintlocks with JD any day.
If JD had a flintlock, the side plate would double as a bottle cap opener, and there would be an oversized patch box for his smokes.
