This is my version of a scapler , the blade is a mill file. handle is mesquite with nail for pins,
the qurly Q is the tang of the file comment quistion please?

Looks very nice to me, but I don't know about that curly-Q thingy on the end of the handle? :confused:

As clumsy as I am, I'd be catching every bush and branches in the woods with it!...Better send it to me for a couple of years Field Test!

Very nice work, but like horner75, I would be catching that curly que on everything in sight. Otherwise, very nice.
 
Very nicely shaped blade. However, as some others have said, I don't care for the curly Q. I think if you do much brushbusting, the brush will catch on it, possibly pulling the knife out of it's sheath. You could lose it.

I once lost a nice neckknife when I was crawling on my hands and knees through a thicket while tracking a wounded coyote. The knife had been a little loose in the sheath, and apparently it fell out somewhere.
