Schuetzen and Graf’s Black Powder

Hello,
On the label of Graf’s black powder, it comes from the same place as Schuetzen. Are they the same powder with the only difference being the labels? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge the two are the same. I’ve never used Graf’s brand but Schuetzen is ok by me.

I believe Wano is also a subsidiary of Schuetzen.

If you want different (and quality) just buy swiss

Graf's website says their label is made by Schuetzen.

It is my understanding that Graf’s “house” brand powder is currently made by Schuetzen. In the past it was made by Goex. I still have several pounds of the Graf’s/Goex in 2f and 3f laid back.

Nothing wrong with Schützen or Graf’s house brand. As has been stated, Graf’s used to use Goex, and when they shut down, started using Schützen. All good stuff and will make good smoke. If you have more money to spend, most people think Swiss is the “best.”

Graf's was Schuetzen for a long time and then they switched to Goex not too long before the shutdown. So they went back to Schuetzen.

I’ve ordered in the neighborhood of 25 pounds a year from Graf for the past eight years or so. Always their house brand. At first it was Schutzen then Goex now back to Schutzen. Just got a 10 pound order last month.
Personally I don’t see any difference. For general Target work or simply making smoke and noise, the monies to buy Swiss is better spent elsewhere.

I could be wrong but I think Graf's house brand is Schutzen they have bought in bulk and packaged themselves, so it's cheaper.

And oh Goex gets up and running and offers a good bulk price Grafs will switch again. IMO it’s their bread and butter line and they negotiate for bulk prices.
