Hello ALL. Still having to thin the herd. Another pistol I hate selling. Attention all Highlanders !!!! LOL

PISTOL: Indian made Scottish Murdoch Pistol.

LOCK: Hammer position correction, tuning, and frizzen hardening by Earl Kathan. Functions and sparks excellent.

STOCK: All forged metal. Ramrod intact and vent clean out threaded into pommel of stock.

BARREL: .50 caliber smooth bore. Unfired, so bore is mint. Vent hole drilled in proper location.

BACK STORY: I purchased this pistol many years ago from MVTCO. At the time, I believe they were the only distributor (?) The only issue with the pistol when I first received it: At half-cock, with a flint in the jaws, it would not allow the frizzen to close all the way on top op the pan. It didn't matter what size flint you tried to use. LOL The obvious problem was the half-cock notch on the tumbler was cut at slightly the wrong spot. (I have an Indian made heavy dragoon I had to have the same fix done to) So I sent the pistol to Earl Kathan to see what he could do. Earl heated up the tumbler and gave it an ever so slight twist. (I'm thinking you have to be really good to do this LOL). It worked. (Worked on my dragoon also). While there, had him tune the lock, harden the frizzen, and drill the vent hole in the correct location. The lock and trigger pull function much better now.

So, as Indian made guns go.......this one needs nothing. Just load and shoot. It's in as-new condition. You Highlanders will be happy with this one.

PRICING: Found three retailers on line offering this pistol.

1. Veteran Arms: $499.00 - but out of stock.
2. MVTCO: $475.00 - but out of stock - and mentions a long wait.
3. Military Heritage: $439.00 USD. Don't know if it's in stock or not.

So I figure a fair price - with all the corrective work making it better than new - would be $450.00 - shipped to the lower 48 States. Sorry, no trades. Let me know if you have any questions. And thanks for looking.

Rick
