I made this little flat horn from horn and wood scraps I accumulated from screw-ups and goofs over the past months and sometimes years. The horn had some very deep barb wire cut damage and that's the reason I didn't use it the first time around, but what the heck! Gives it a slightly well used look, so I put this together.

Rick

Horn measures approx: 9 inches AC
Base wood: Fishtail Oak w/Paduak stopper
Flattened to approx. 3/4 inches thick
Dyed: Using boiled onion skins and walnut stain top coat.

Thats really nice like it alot is the horse creature something that was copied from a original or is your idea looks nice

Thanks everyone!...This is a mythical picture of a Seahorse from ancient stone carving.

I am usually not a real fan of the flat horns but I really like that one.
What part of Nebr. are you from? I grew up in North Loup. Doubt you ever heard of it. About 50 miles from Grand Island though!
I sometimes miss it, "till I think about the winters"! :grin:
