Matching pair of York-county style screw tip powder horns. Both have mostly white body, simple double border at both ends. Both tips unscrew easily. Hardwood base plugs are turned with lovely carving and details that complement the horns. Under the base plug staples are the builder’s initials, KW. These horns came out of Vernon Davis’s former shop near Cincinnati, and I do not know who KW is.
Large primary horn has a nice double twist, and is 15” along the outside curve and 13” end-to-end. Base is 3” across. The twist and location of the staples make this a right-side carry.
Small priming horn is 7” around the curve, with a base just under 2”. Position of the staples is the same as on the large horn. The stopper is broken, but plenty of length remains for a tight seal.
These are offered as a set for $300 + $20 shipped in 48 states. I can accept paypal, money order or your personal check.
