I have an excellent original .70 cal rifled percussion Danish Jaeger in excellent condition with a bright bore that I will sell for $2,850 plus actual frt. & insurance to the lower 48.
This rifle was made by I.C. Haugaard in Kiobenhaven, he was an arms maker for the Crown.
I've shot competition & hunted with this rifle for over 40 years, now that I'm 80 years old I can no longer handle a rifle or hunt.
As a lifelong collector & muzzleloading competitor I can honestly state that this rifle shoots the tightest groups of any rifle i've ever owned out to 150 yards with the original flip-up express rear sight & 80 grains of 2f & bring down an Elk.
If your familiar with rifled Jeagers the deep rifling on this rifle with it's swamped barrel also has approximately one twist in the length of the barrel & as I recall weighs in at 71/2 - 8lbs.
The mold, balls, patches & loading specs are also included.
Note; For safety reasons this rifle has been upgraded to a Treso rifle nipple is fitted with a tapered polycarbonate ramrod, these ramrods are unbreakable, self lubricating & will not harm the bore.
The stock, lock, triggers & rifled bore on this rifle remain in as-new tight condition with only light dings to the wood with no repairs & no wear or pitting to the metal due to being well cared for & the high quality workmanship & tempering used during this period by quality European arms makers..
I will include my personal contact info & numerous detailed photos if your seriously interested & you consider this rifle to be within your price range.
