Well the season open back up this morning. I get out there a 6:15. About 8:30. I see movement to my right a big doe with 6 deer behind it. She stop a the creeks edge I let the cherakee 45 bark. I found her about 80 yds on the other side of the creek. double lung 100# plus doe. The load was 60 pyrodex with maxie ball. Then the work starts.

Very good.

I have two unfilled management ("doe") tags from our regular season that I couldn't fill. Saw a four-point but had punched my buck tag with a spike. Didn't matter a lick that I carred a m/l instead of a centerfire . . . I didn't see nuttin that was in or out of range. No firing attempts means no missfires, though. :peace:

Last gasp is next weekend for the m/l season. Going back to where I found the spike; which I am now very glad I took even though it was an act of desparation. Four deer spotted in nine full days of hunting. Pretty dismal.
