I have a small pwoder flask that I had picked up at Octobercountry. When I got it home I found some seeds inside. Is this normal? Is it to keep moisture out? I'm not sure they are seeds, but they sure look like it.

My colt replica made by Pedersoli had something like that in it too. I thought it looked more like cat litter :hmm:
Lehigh...

Plant 'em.

Maybe flasks are secretly grown like gourds and they accidently missed cleaning all the seeds out of yours.

Possibly something they use for polishing; like corn husks and walnut shell media is used to polish brass.

Or smuggling. :hmm:

My shot flask from David Pedorski had some grains of what looked like polishing media or fine cat litter. If the brass measurer was polished in a tub that would explain some of the media. It was in the leather part.

I'm thinking it's either Desiccant (for moisture) or a polishing medium...
