In a nutshell, the book details how food crops from the new world were exported around the world and the impacts, from Columbus to the 20th century. It is a large book full of illustrations, pictures and period paintings, there is one on almost every page. This alone prompted me to pay $2.00 for it.
It's a great book for someone wanting a complete whole world view of American food crops from the 15-20th centuries......It even covers livestock.
