Trying to help my neighbor out with his Hawken rifle he's building, and we can't figure this one out. When he holds his rifle in the vertical position (for a long time), and he goes to shoot it the set trigger won't work, the other one will. But if he keeps the rifle in the horizontal position (across his legs) the set trigger will work. It's a R.E. Davis trigger any help will be appreciated thank you!

Easy. Take the trigger out,, clean it and lube it. Soap and water and oil and all that stuff.
Then do the same thing to the lock.
It ain't rocket science, it's welcome to having a gun and being aware they need care.,,,,
