How long can or have you gone without shooting?

I was thinking about this today when I was picking up some branches in the yard. Due to all kinds of things, I haven't pulled a trigger since last November for deer season.

I am getting the shakes pretty bad and need to do some trigger time. Unfortunately, our club range is still closed and we won't be able to shoot until this spring when some changes have been made to it.

It bothers me if I miss a weekend...hunting season is even starting to bother me a little cause I hunt Saturdays and don't have a place I can shoot at on Sundays (or hunt)

I haven't shot for over a month.Luckily I spent last week in the Deer camp doing Hunting related "things".Anything involved with the outdoors will cure my cabin fever! :haha:

Late december..... The last day of ML deer season. (Didn't shoot a deer, unloaded into a pine tree)

Been quiet since then... but everyonce in a while I'll get em out and re-clean or otherwise fool with em.

Yup Its bothers me a litte because my finger was healing from the broken ram rod deal. I live out in the country, where if I want to shoot I just walk down to the field and shoot. :) I have pushed up a dirt mound for a back stop and have marked off 25,50,75,out to 100 YDS. Sorry :( you don't live a little closer, you could come over to shoot. :rotf:

I've had a bad year for shooting last year. My work put me on the road 34 weeks last year. As a part of that I've been on the raod since Thanksgiving and am now hoping to get home by the end Feb. The money's good but the inability to shoot sucks.

Weather in Ohio has been fantastic

for January. Went out friday, temps

were in the mid fifties, sun was

shining. Stayed at the range for

4 1/2 hours and shot off sixty rounds

with the 54 GPR. It was a blast for this

time of the year!! :) :) :)

5 months in Iraq is the longest I went without shooting my muzzleloaders.
I was going through terrible withdrawal symptoms.
Now I'm back in my routine of shooting every weekend.

Yea, great weather this year! But when I can't get out, I practice with my air pistol and rifle indoors. I used to spend some of my weekends by the quarry where you live either fishing, racing cars or chasing babes. (How about you WK1? Did we bump elbows there?)

Not any longer than I want to. I have the same set up as Hacksaw about 50 ft. out my back door. In addition to that a friend has received permission to a little creek bottom that he thinks reaches 1200 yards....I haven't been there yet. Now I have a place to shoot my two Sharps again!

Last year I went from June 'til November ('04). I think that was the longest, but it's been mostly going 2-3 months at a time, when I could get from Columbus, OH back home to TN. Now in MI, I've got a few more opportunities, but it's still not more than once ever month to 6 weeks at the most often. :(

I went gunless maybe seven or eight months per year for a couple years when I was heavily into my "bow" phase and used firearms for just the regular deer season. I was shooting a bow at that time at least every other day if not daily in the backyard while daylight held. But, even then, I shoot something at least every two weeks year round or go into deep depression and withdrarwl.

WK1,

Went out to the Log Cabin Shop needed to pick up

a few things, so i took the rifle along and

stayed way to long again!!! :winking:

I went to the cabin lastnight and took a walk with the shotgun this morning. I needed some woods time. No game cooperated, but I got the fix I needed.

No excuse for not shooting. I have two single pump target type air pistols in the desk 10 feet behind me. Leaning next to it is a cheap pellet 10 meter target rifle. Sitting on top of the wood stove in the back room is a target/trap with a target on it. I shoot 20 shots one hand with open sights every week day. Then I shoot 20 more with the other pistol and a reddot two handed. I then shoot 20 shots with the rifle. All of these guns can safely be fired indoors in the basement, the hallway, or where ever you have room. They are not too loud and all of them are capable of better accuracy than I can produce off hand with a pellet they like. The one pistol is less than 40$ and has won matches for other folks.

WK1,

I had the place all to my self Friday....

Last time on a fri there was one other guy.
