I have heard, on good authority, that I may get a flintlock kit from Santa for Christmas, and I made these in preparation. A shooting bag, hand forged turnscrew with antler handle, and a pan brush/vent pick. I know that they don’t particularly look like they belong to any certain period, but I have decided to hand make as much as possible to go with this rifle.

I have a small notch in my similar turn screw. The notch is used on the edge of the flint to knap a fresh edge. I prefer wire in the brush, but then I am wrestling the gunk out of the pan of my Brown Bess. You made a nice set of tools. They will work well with your new flintlock. Hope to hear about your new flintlock. Of course, pictures please.

Nice work on the accessories. One of the pleasures of shooting muzzleloaders is making your own gear, even with my limited skills. I applaud your approach. Welcome to the forum.
