the box isn't finished yet, have to sand and varnish it yet, maybe stain it also. the daughter got a digital camera for x-mas so am learning how to post pics., or should I say she is patiently teaching me. the box is 19" wide, 12" high and 9" deep. I don't know if this shooting box is the answer though, it's gonna be heavier than the simple craftsman tool box I have been using for 20 years. What I am striving for is getting to the shooting range, setting the box on the bench, opening it and having everything right in front of me, in arms reach. with my craftsman box, It takes about 5' of bench length for all my stuff. Course I carry waaaaay to much stuff, I am not gonna carry but what I need in the new box. flinch

Ok, I got to know. How can you guys see anything? I get an "error" when I go to the sites posted.

Mighty fine lookin box ya got there. Had one of similar size, think it had a jacuzzi and toilet in it. I found that the bigger it is the more ya put in, whether ya need it or not. I still use mine but pared off the weight by getting the lead oud. I carry all my round balls in a seperate container. That way we won't have to nickname ya hunchback. :haha: Bill Just a thought to ponder.

I've pared my box (plastic) down to a couple of calibers - .36 and .54 - but throw in a box of .490s or maxi-balls when needed. Have a seperate box for the scattergun.

We'll look forward to the photos when you finish the box :v

Nice box! :thumbsup:

The most helpful advice I have seen on pic posting came from AZ-Robert in reply to a post on the "Using the Forum" section. Here is what he posted;

"Move them to photobucket first. Once they are there, copy the URL that is in the box right under the photo (highlight it, then right click and "copy", or highlight it and use the key combo of control+c)

Then get your typing cursor to the place in your post where you want to stick the photo. Then use your mouse to click on the photo icon just above the box where you type the post... it is the fourth one from the left on the bottom row of buttons. When the window opens up to get the URL of your photo, use the right button on your mouse to "paste", or use the key combo of control+v to put the URL in that pop up window. Hit the "OK" button on that pop up window, and you should be good to go."

Thanks to AZ-Robert I finally posted a pic. :bow: He has been a very good source of info. to me sinceI signed on here. :bow: I hope it's OK that I quoted his post to this thread.

Nice shootin box! :thumbsup:

Great looking RB - nice job. :thumbsup: Looking forward to pictures of the finished project.

Just my opinion from past experience, but most free hosting services are not always reliable, and those added via your ISP can be just as problematic. I've been lucky to have my own dedicated servers for a few years now and I no longer have to use any of them. No more dreaded red X's here. :winking:

Nice box. :thumbsup:

I cheat and use two wooden tool boxes I bought at Lowes and replaced the insert tray with one with higher sides and central handle eliminating the full lenght handle the original had.

I keep looking at shooting boxes and thinking of what design features I would like. I keep thinking that a box that would hold everyting I want to put in it would be too heavy. :shocked2: How much does your box weigh after you fill it? :hmm:
