I was wondering if any of you who shoot conicals shoot them dry, with no lube in the grooves.
I was thinking that if they are shot dry with a lubed wad under them it would be fine and the mess of filling the grooves would not be necessary.
I don't think leading is a problem with muzzleloaders because of the low velocity so maybe so much lube is not needed.
