My girls father owns some property that he shoots on all the time. He said I could go over and plink away all I wanted tomorrow. So I'm bringing the bess out there and firing away. Pretty excited! Will let you all know how it went!

Well the day went pretty well. I got around 20 rounds off before I had to split because I had some other things to attend to. I had a lot of fun, definitely more enjoyable than shooting those peashooters the US Army calls guns. I tried a few different grain sizes, went from 70 up to 90 with a .735cal round and it went pretty well. unfortunetly There wasn't a dirt backstop, just a creek-bed, which made it near impossible to locate any fired rounds, not to mention I was shooting at an old Jeep Cherokee and putting plum size holes out the otherside of it. I was thoroughly impressed with the weapon. Recoil wasn't an issue either, I barely noticed it...I am a bigger guy though (5'11, 250 lbs) so that could have been why. Didn't smack myself in the face either, I made sure to follow all the directions you guys gave me. Paid off, it's sucked me in and I plan on continuing to shoot for years to come! :hatsoff:

For a Military Musket I can't think of a better target than a Military Vehicle.

(By George, I think he's got it..)

Well old Refrigerators work amazing well too! Something about making massive holes in home appliances makes any boy smile!
