At our group shoot last week my starter, “borrowed” by a member got “lost” in the woods. So I made up one from hickory to replace it. I liked it so much that I made a second one. This one has a 3/8” brass rod and can be tapped if desired to 8-32 or 10-32. Here is the provenance:
