This is my first attempt to make a bag of any kind. I still need a strap for it but don't have any material yet for it. It holds more #6 shot than i want to put in it, I made it from stuff I had around the house because I hate to wast good materials. The leather came from a used back quiver the loops to hold the strap are elk hide, the wood neck is a drilled out spool from thread and the plug I made from an old wood pin that came out of a barn. Does anyone make straps that would work for my pouch?

Nice looking bag Jim. It should serve you well. How the heck did you find an old wooden thread spool? I don't think they have been made in a lot of years.

BTW. You could weave your own strap on an Inkle loom. It would be a little more self satisfying to have made the whole rig. Your choice. :hmm:
