Should I reline it?

Your picture didn't post, but I'd say as it's a recent manufacture (1971 is recent in my book) I'd look for a replacement barrel. Unless Bobby Hoyt can re line it cheaper than a new barrel... I'm sure barrel prices have gone up in the last year.. everything else has.

I would fix it. I have re-rifled, or freshened rifle barrel's, it isn't that difficult. Don't toss it, if it comes to that, send it here, I'll pay the shipping.

If the gun is worth saving, then the barrel is worth saving. Even then if you dislike the gun the barrel can be used in something else.
