The fifth annual "Siege of Fort Randolph" will be May 20-22, 2005 at Fort Randolph in Point Pleasant, WV. The actual battle reenactment will be on Saturday the 21st. The reenactment includes the murder of Chief Cornstalk in the fall of 1777 and the subsequent siege of the fort by the Shawnee in May of 1778. Reenactors are welcome to participate, and camping is available. Reenactors can portray the Virginians or the Shawnee Indians. Cabins are available in the fort on a first-serve basis. Tent camping is permitted outside the fort. Wood, straw and water will be provided. Sutlers are also welcome. The weekend will also include seminars and socializing in the fort tavern, and a dinner will be provided to the participants Saturday evening. This is a wonderful event, and we hope to see you there.
