Siler main spring

The M-spring in my large siler broke at about 800 rds.
Maybe just one of those things. But have to ask has any
one else had a short life problem with the siler?

Nope, generally mainsprings break when installing or not at all. If yours was a Chambers built Siler, they will replace it for free.

I have only had one break & have used allot of them. It recently happened, new lock & I took the spring out to disassemble the lock & I laid the spring down (still in the mainspring clamp) & it snapped. Jim told me he would send me a new one no charge & I told him I will get one from him at Friendship.

Nope, this one was never removed. I was on the line
shooting paper at an Az. Rondy. Went to set the hammer
and nothing. Pulled the lock and it was broken.
