Had a fun 3 day muzzleloader season here this past week. Didn't do anything on whitetails, but sika hunting was decent. Passed 3 spikes and a few does, never did come across a big stag, so the last evening I filled the doe tag and got the first kill with the new gun. Now I can call the build complete!

40 yard shot, .440 ball, 60 grains FFF, lubed pillow ticking patch. Pass through.

Hello from Germany!

Waidmanns Heil to the deer and congrats to this nice rifle. I'm always wondering what these small .440 balls are able to bring down.

Regards

Britsmoothy, it went down fast, within 20 yards. The big stags are tougher, they can carry quite a bit.

Swampy, it does feel pretty good! I put the hide in the freezer, waiting to get a few built up before doing any tanning this year. This one's got your name on it when I get to it if you want some more sika hide. You did a great job with that bit I sent ya last year!

Whatever you do, do not give away the skin.Tan it really good and make a rifle case for your gun with it.It has earned it!
