got the front site in.. there is a circle pcs on the bottom on the site

what is it?? can you file it down??? it will not go in the dove tail with it on there?? :shake: had to file the side's down to fit track said you had to file it down to fit a lyman.. is it weld together?? thanks WORM

That just needs to be filed flush is all. Left over from the casting process.

That is a " casting Sprue", where the metal was poured into the mold. It was cut off, but only close enough to make the part easy to handle. Grind or file it off, so that the base is straight and flush.
