I took my New Englander 12ga skeet shooting today and boy what a blast. I should have bought this barrel a long time ago. After I cleaned it the choke tube seems to be losing the shiny plating in the bore. Should I be worried about this?

Shiny plating and choke tubes? :shocked2:

You don't need that new fangled stuff for ML clays

It's first Sunday of the month tomorrow and I'll be at our regular ML clay shoot. Wouldn't miss it, rain, shine, blizzard, nuclear war, I'll be there :rotf:

I have an older model Navy Arms 12 gauge SxS that I use for pheasants. last fall our hunting party stopped at a skeet range to make sure everyone ready and shoot a few clay birds. There were probably 8 other people there. When my turn came I hit my two and went back to reload. When I stepped up to shoot again, Everyone at the range stopped and was watching me because of the curiosity of this BP shotgun. I hit my two again and the next thing I knew, everyone there wanted to shoot it !! We had to leave and get to our hunting area, but I know I generated alot of interest that day.

my eldest daughter actually has a t-shirt:

STOP THE SLAUGHTER!
SAVE THE SKEETS!

watch out the PETA crowd doesn't catch you shooting those poor defenseless, inoffensive skeets... you might have to go to some seminar and get your conscousness raised or somesuch.

LOL! Sounds like a lot of fun! I just found our long lost thrower, so that will have to do for my shooting of the poor little skeets.

PETA shouldn't be too worried, the skeets I shoot are very eco-friendly: biodegradable and non-toxic. :rotf:

peTa don't care about no environments. :rotf: They just worry about the animal's feelin's. :bull:
