Sketch Book 56 Vol. I Roger's Rangers.jpg
Sketch Book 56 Vol I Roger's Rangers. Sixty four (64) pages of history and adventure
illustrated by Ted Spring, of the French and Indian War (F&I) from 1754 to 1763.
Men portrayed by Mel Gibson in the movie "The Patriot" first fought for the Crown against the French and Native Americans, their unorthodox fighting tactics and concealment made Roger's Rangers a very effective fighting force, they were the first "Green Berets" only to be cast aside later and taxed beyond all comprehension just to pay for the war they valiantly fought in. As a result, these men later enlisted as Minutemen and in Colonial Militias, and fought back to regain their dignity and freedom from English oppression from the tyrant King George. This collection of sketches deals with some of the items used by "Roger's Rangers" during that period in time. A great addition to any
Re-enactors Library as well as the serious Rifleman's source of period correctness.
Bought new, read often, but in excellent condition. $ 20 free shipping.
