FWIW this was only a 70-grain (wadded) 2Fg load, launching a tennis ball.

this is my 54 with a Bob roller lock, my wife took the photo and instant before the explosion of the main charge. this gun is lightning fast, and it is really hard to sense any delay, she caught it just right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Check that barrel lifting away from the stock.
yes it does. this is why shooting and supporting your barrel every time is important for consistent accuracy with any gun,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
