Priming or a small day horn with tacked leather frog at tip and a pine base plug. Horn measures 7-inches along outside curve, the base plug extends another 1-inch. Four brass tacks around the base are identical to the four affixing the leather band. For me, the horn held either a 3-month supply of 4F, or enough 3F for a day’s hunt with my .32
